Aizawl By Air
The airport in Aizawl is known as the Lengpui Airport which started its operations from 1998 and is at a distance of 32 kms from the Aizawl city. The airport was constructed with a budget of Rs. 97.92 crores and it was completed very fast in a time span of just two years and a half months. It is considered to be the first large airport which is constructed by the State Government. The Lengpui airport is connected to Guwahati, Imphal and Kolkata.
At present, Lengpui Airport is served by jet Airways only. Initially, it was also served by Kingfisher Red which stopped its operations from April 2012. Given below are the flights that run to and from Aizawl:
