Aizawl is a beautiful city which is 112 years old and is set up on the ridges of steep hills of the state of Mizoram. Situated at a height of 1132 metres above sea level, the city of Aizawl overlooks the valley of the river Tlawng and the blue hill ranges beyond the valley. Foreign tourist need to have ‘Inner Line Permit’ in order to enter the state union. These special permits can be attained from Indian missions abroad and even from the Mizoram government directly and the permits have a certain validity period.
